Convoluut of 2 works by Joost van den Vondel in one blind-stamped, calf-leather panel binding (in Cambridge style), with the front board decorated by a frame with fleurons in the corners and a darker, inlaid leather center panel. The spine features five raised ribs and gold-stamped compartments with a red leather title shield.

Good. Planed and bumped corners and edges, right hinge at the top, about 4 cm open. Interior browned, here and there a spot. Some wormholes, scribble on endpaper. Fold in endpaper at back.
Contains frontispiece, coat of arms and 15 fine sharp copper engravings and a portrait of Vondel - all depicted
