Description from the seller
IMPORTANT MESSAGE: I ship only to select destinations - Please read the shipping prices carefully.
"THE HUG"
It is a simple gesture that comes from within, an embrace toward oneself, as a symbol of balance, care and completeness. A gesture that contains everything, even when the world seems distant.
Each single creation is a unique piece worked by hand with delicacy and feeling. The sculpture was modeled in clay and fired in a professional kiln, then patinated cold. In the porosity and in the imperfections of the terracotta and the pigments used, lies the beauty of this material.
Shipping will be carried out with great care. All works are hand-signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Techniques:
Sculpture: Patinated Terracotta
Sphere: Brass
Nicole Furlan, born 1991, attended the Academy of Art and Photography. Always seeking inspiration to grow. Raised in the Tuscan countryside, she re-discovers in small things the charm of simplicity and recreates it through matter, enabling an open dialogue with her own subconscious. For several years she had the opportunity to create a connection between sculpture (soul) and human in her Atelier/Laboratory in Pitigliano, a small village of Etruscan origins. A new, delicate formula of deep connections. In 2020 she decided to return to living in open countryside, so she could focus even more on herself and on what she wants to express.
