The works are shipped from the artist based in the United States to our logistics platform in France, which handles import and customs clearance, before returning them individually to our collectors without any constraints. Karl Lagasse, a renowned artist, gained notoriety in 2009 with his One Dollar sculptures, ranking that year among the ten best sculptors under 30 according to Artprice. In 2012, the New York publication Farameh named him one of the fifty best contemporary artists, inspired by traditional American icons, in its book FOR WHICH IT STANDS: Americana in Contemporary Art. More recently, in 2016, at the Art Paris Art Fair, the President of the French Republic warmly congratulated Karl for his impressive 2-meter bronze sculpture One Dollar, exhibited at the Grand Palais.

Karl’s artistic journey began at age 7 with collages, prompted by his encounter with sculptor César Baldaccini. He later turned to tagging and graffiti in the Paris metro while remaining passionate about collages. The artist Yvaral Vasarely encouraged him to fuse his tags with his collages. In 2003, Karl prepared his first exhibition in Paris, which led to his first solo show in 2006 at the Isy Brachot gallery in Brussels. In 2008, he returned to Paris with an exhibition blending paintings, sculptures, and video elements at the Espace Pierre Cardin.

Karl especially enjoys unveiling his works at international exhibitions. In 2011, he was represented by Bel Air Fine Art at the Art Monaco show with his Cryptogram One piece. The following year, he presented his works One Dollar on the theme "In God We Trust" at the Artco France gallery. His 2016 solo exhibition at the Atrium Gallery in Marbella, Spain, was inaugurated by the mayor, who praised his works to the international press.

2026: - Finalization of the work One Dollar Green Bronze 8 meters tall, weighing 7 tons. The world’s largest One Dollar sculpture created by the artist.

2025: - Installation of the monumental work Reflection of the Sun. Installed near the newly built Baths Pavilion, on the Promenade Michel d’Ornano, inaugurated by Mayor Philippe Augier on September 8.

2024: - Art Miami - group exhibitions Galerie Nicolas Auvray New York. For the occasion, a bronze cryptogram 1.80m and a 2-meter One Dollar were exhibited during the event.
- 50th anniversary of the Deauville American Film Festival; for the occasion, the artist created 18 bronze trophies as well as a 2-meter sculpture to be installed at the CID. The artists interviewed about the artist and who received the trophy include: Michael Douglas, Daisy Ridley, Natalie Portman, Michelle Williams, Mikey Madison...

2023: - Aspen St. Regis: Installation of the 2-meter One Dollar in front of the St. Regis. The Aspen Times covered the event in a dedicated article.

2016: - Art Fair Paris at the Grand Palais
- A two-meter-high One Dollar, fully bronze, was exhibited at Art Paris.
- The French president visited the exhibition and personally congratulated the artist for his work.
- First in Spain at the Atrium Gallery in Marbella, solo exhibition with new collections in the presence of international press and the city’s mayor, Jose Bernal Gutierrez. A special performance by his wife, opera singer Cherise Lagasse, who performed pieces from her repertoire.

2015: - Second collaboration with Maserati with the creation of a monumental installation entitled “A Piece of Heaven on Earth.” This work features a Maserati covered with a white plastic film and a sculpture of Jesus Christ. Around the car, several dollar-bill sculptures lie on the ground, symbolizing the repayment of humanity’s greatest debt.

2014: - Maserati presents in world premiere the Maserati Ghibli redesigned by artist Karl Lagasse to celebrate the brand’s 100th anniversary.
