For the artist, it is first through photography that the need to give free rein to creation is revealed. By manipulating and reshaping her photographs, which become at once support and medium, creations between the real and the imaginary arise in which several voices intertwine, cross and overlap to recombine into new stories each time.
Her creative journey is continually evolving, so naturally the visual artist began to explore image-generation technology. Immediately, she found in it the opportunity to create all the images she had in mind for years.
Without constraint of administration, the artist was immediately fascinated by the immense possibilities of artistic direction offered by artificial intelligence.
Bearing a sensitive gaze toward the world, in the same way as in photography, her approach to generative art is instinctive and emotional.
If her work is strongly inspired by traditional photography and remains oriented toward realism, it is also infused with different moods, whether ethereal, poetic or cinematic.
To achieve a marriage of technology and emotions, the artist guides and shapes AI, like a material. The digital becomes her medium. She selects, mixes and handles descriptions, keywords, iterations and parameters, until obtaining a shot from her own imagination.
Thus, if the photographer captures the present moment of a reality, Sandra the IA-graph captures a moment of her imagination, transcribed into reality by the generated image.
The visual style of the artist is recognizable in the play she makes of blurring the boundaries between reality and imagination, between photography and IA-graphy, between masculine and feminine genres.
