Description from the seller
Lode Sebregts is an Antwerp painter and poster designer who focuses on portraits, landscapes and still lifes.
He makes his debut under the influence of Art Deco and Modernism but soon evolves into an impressionist/expressionist style. That is especially evident in the loose brushwork he uses in his landscapes. After World War II he witnesses a new artistic freedom and he also increasingly experiments in his works.
Sebregts was a teacher at SISA and at Studio Herman Teirlinck.
Works by his hand can be found among others in the KMSKA, the Museum Plantin Moretus and the Letterhuis.
