A. Koupetzian, pupil of Martiros Saryan (1880-1972), the greatest Armenian artist.
Koupetzian became famous for his Cubist compositions, known as Synthetic Cubism, originally invented by Braque and Picasso around 1910.
After embracing this style in the 1970s, Koupetzian developed it considerably, adding depth and new colors never seen before.
The works are widely featured in exhibitions and national museums in Russia, Italy, the USA, the United Kingdom, and China.
