Description from the seller

A woman, a diving board, a man hidden in his shadow. GEIDA evokes here the dive toward autonomy, freedom, this desire to take flight and make his big leap into the bath, to fly with his own wings, to make his own decisions. Despite all our fears, our anxieties, our educations, values, customs, in principle, but also our needs for security, help, reassurance, support, all represented here by the buoy, the parachute, the fins, so many tools intended to ensure the necessary help in difficulty and the strength to lancer oneself. The man concealed in the shadow—is he here for control, to support, to comfort, to encourage… an allegory of the plunge into life.

GEIDA is a French artist, from the south of France, born in 1982, on the shores of the Côte d’Azur.

Inspired by classical and modern painting, he moves between contemporary works and street art. His creations incorporate emblematic elements of classical and pop culture. His works are characterized by the reinterpretation of major painters, warm colors, expressive and captivating compositions.

GEIDA explores different forms of universes and productions. Some of his works are reproduced in small editions on canvas on linen, creating limited editions accessible to a wider audience.
The artist’s style reflects a combination between classical art and new techniques. In order to captivate attention, provoke reflection, and elevate interiors.
