Spectacular and exclusive artisanal Italian chessboard refined in olive wood with chess pieces turned and made of lead. The chessboard stands out for the spectacular natural grain of the olive, with knots and organic patterns that make each piece unique. The warm tones of the wood and the natural contrast of the squares confer the lot a strong decorative character, typical of mid-20th-century Italian craftsmanship. The chess pieces feature a classic, essential line, well proportioned for the playing table and pleasant both for display and for daily play. It consists of two drawers to store the chess pieces. All original from the period in good condition for its age. A jewel of a collection.
