Brian Donnelly, also known as KAWS, is an American street art artist. He is among the artists with the highest sales worldwide, together with Banksy, Jeff Koons, Takashi Murakami, Futura.

He began his career as a graffiti artist when he grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey. Later KAWS moved to New York City in the 1990s and began to vandalize images on billboards, bus shelters and telephone booth advertisements. These altered ads were initially left untouched and lasted up to several months, but as KAWS' popularity skyrocketed, the ads became increasingly sought after. In addition to New York, KAWS has also worked in Paris, London, Berlin and Tokyo.
