Wooden tripod side table, likely from Spain, dating to circa 1940–1950, with a foldable top and dimensions 50 cm high by 35 cm wide by 35 cm deep, showing good used condition with minor signs of age.
Description from the seller
It is a tripod side table that breathes with that warm, straightforward character of wood worked by hand, where every joint and every curve matters more than any industrial finish. The structure arises from three legs that open up naturally, without rigidity, as if they had been designed to support themselves from the first sketch. There are no forced symmetries or overly straight lines: what dominates is the craftsman's logic, that search for balance achieved through eye, experience, and touch.
The top, light yet firm, rests on the central knot where the legs converge, a point that often reveals the workshop's personality: sometimes more rustic, with visible tool marks; other times more polished, but always with the human imprint intact. The wood shows lively grain, small tone variations, perhaps a knot that has been integrated as part of the design, reinforcing that sense of a unique, unrepeatable piece.
As a side table it almost functions as a gesture: it can be placed wherever needed, accompanies an armchair, supports a lamp, a book, or a cup, and when not in use its presence remains friendly, light, almost sculptural. It has that charm of objects made without hurry, where functionality and beauty do not compete but support each other.
Certified shipping and good packaging.
