Title: "Intensität" (Intensity)
Description:
This painting feels like a frozen moment full of energy – raw, immediate, and unfiltered. The red lines and splashes of color crash across the canvas with force, as if emotions suddenly found their own path. Dark streaks appear in between, hinting at depth and resistance.
"Intensität" does not speak of calm or control. It speaks of inner tensions, of thoughts and feelings that can no longer be held back. Despite the apparent wildness, the painting possesses its own balance – a interplay of movement, chaos, and quiet.
The longer you look, the more the effect changes. Sometimes the work seems explosive and loud, other times vulnerable and almost still. That is precisely its humanity: it reminds us that genuine emotions are rarely clear or orderly. They leave traces, break out, and in doing so form something honest and alive.

The canvas is delivered rolled.
Christoph Prein is an Austrian artist known for his abstract and contemporary works, primarily created with acrylic paints. Originating from St. Margarethen near Knittelfeld, Prein’s pieces are often characterized by a minimalist, abstract style and are carefully crafted from high-quality materials to ensure vivid colors and longevity. In his art, he frequently engages themes such as identity, memory, and the exploration of human emotions, often shifting the boundaries between the visible and the invisible.
Prein’s approach to art is multidimensional, combining painting with elements of sculpture and installation. This unique style has earned him recognition in Austria as well as internationally, with exhibitions across Europe, North America, and Asia. His works invite viewers to contemplate the complexities of the modern world and the deeper aspects of the human experience.
For a painting measuring 210 x 110 cm, you need a stretcher frame sized 200 x 100 cm with a depth of 2–4 cm.
You can then either stretch the canvas yourself or have an art craftsman or gallery owner stretch it for you.
This is a handmade original, signed by the artist on the back and dated.
High-quality, light-fast acrylic paints were used on a gallery-ready, primed canvas.
A varnish was also applied to protect the work.
This work is hand-made and therefore unique!
--- Certificate of authenticity included ---
Beautify your private residence, law firm, clinic, or office, and elevate your spaces in an elegant and stylish way.
When a person descends into their innermost depths, into a sphere that rarely comes to light, into a space that is mysteriously hidden and waiting to be discovered, tickled to awaken, and also agonizingly raised, then art is born.
