Description from the seller
The Gaze of Love
Photograph taken by Laurent Baheux in 2007 in Serengeti Park, Tanzania.
Initially drawn to journalism and the profession of editor, Laurent Baheux quickly discovered his passion for wildlife photography. Always fascinated by Africa, he began working personally on wildlife in 2002 during a stay in Tanzania. Because of this, he chose black and white, with its play of shadows, to immortalize rare and fleeting scenes of nature, constantly seeking to sublimize the animals, capture the magnificence of their attitudes and the emotion of their gazes. The true starting point of his artistic career occurred when he was nominated for the International Wildlife Photographer of the Year contest in 2007 in the “Creative Vision of Nature” category. Through a graphic and aesthetic approach that moves away from traditional photography, Laurent Baheux magnifies nature and the wild species he encounters, be they tigers, lions, giraffes, elephants, or migratory birds.
