Description from the seller

Elegant pair of Vieux Bruxelles porcelain spill or mantel vases, manufactured in Belgium around 1880–1900.
The vases are executed in a refined Neoclassical Rococo form with a wavy rim, finely sculpted acanthus leaves, and richly applied gilding. The combination of glossy white porcelain and exuberant gold decoration gives the pair a particularly luxurious appearance, characteristic of the high-quality Brussels porcelain production from the end of the 19th century.
Both vases bear the identical impressed model number 26, which confirms that they are an originally paired set. The gilding is largely well preserved with only light, age-related wear. One vase has a hairline (see photos).
The pair is in a very well-kept antique condition.
A decorative and collectible pair that would sit well within a Belgian porcelain collection or a classical interior.
Dimensions (per vase):
Height: 28 cm
Width: 15 cm
Base: 14 cm
Total weight:
2.74 kg
Shipped carefully packed and insured.
