Description from the seller
Arista: Camillo CIMA.
The eighteenth-century fountain of the Piermarini in front of the Archiepiscopal Palace, which, until the advent of potable water, was fed by the Seveso via a wheel hidden in a house on Via Palazzo Reale, precisely where the Seveso itself was recently diverted and channeled toward Via Larga, to free the villa of its inconvenient presence and the area of the Courthouse building. (July 11, 1927.)

Sheet size: 33x25 cm
Frame: 50x41.5 cm
Signed by hand and dated by the artist.
The painting was purchased from a close relative of the painter and has not been restored or retouched at any point.
