AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Impressive pair of monumental hand-painted Spanish majolica lidded vases, made in the traditional ceramic region of Manises (Valencia). The vases are richly decorated with a classic polychrome floral motif on a deep cobalt blue ground, executed in the characteristic Spanish majolica tradition.
Based on the decorative style, form, export markings, and the GC mark present, the vases can be attributed to Gimeno Carceller or a closely related Manises producer. The used motifs and color scheme closely match the ceramics produced in the latter half of the 20th century for international export.
The vases are completely hand-painted and fitted with matching lids. Thanks to their monumental size, they form a particularly decorative pair for an entrance, fireplace, hallway, or a classical interior.
Dimensions (per vase):
Height: 73 cm
Width: 33 cm
Condition: Good overall with normal, light signs of use appropriate for age and use. One lid with a small chip, not disruptive. See the photos for a full impression of the condition.
An impressive and rarely offered pair of large Spanish Manises vases, beautifully reflecting the rich ceramic tradition of Valencia and making a striking centerpiece in both classical and Mediterranean interiors.
Monumental pair of Spanish Manises lidded vases – in the style of Gimeno Carceller – 73 cm.
