Description from the seller
Elegant centerpiece / fruit bowl in cut crystal with a solid 800 silver base, of Italian production, attributable to Florentine craftsmanship.
Era
Second half of the 20th century, likely the 1960s–1980s.
The hallmark with a star + number + provincial code “FI” (Florence) is typical of the Italian system introduced after 1968, identifying the silversmith and the production province.
Provenance
Italian production – Florence (FI), an important historic center of artistic silverware.
Stamping
Title: 800 (silver 80%)
Mark: star + identifying number (334) + FI
This system certifies both the silver purity and the registered silversmith.
Materials
Bowl: cut crystal and engraved
Base: solid 800 silver (probably hollow structure with an internal core, typical Italian production)
Techniques
Crystal worked with geometric and floral cut motifs (classic “molato” style)
Shaped profile with a wavy edge
Base in silver made by:
- casting and turning
- mirror polishing
- possible manual finishing
The contrast between the crystal’s transparency and the silver’s brilliance gives great elegance and luminosity.
Dimensions

Width: 15 cm
Height: 12 cm
Style
Classic Italian tableware style, with echoes of mid-century elegant taste, suitable both as a fruit bowl and as a decorative element.

Excellent overall condition
Crystal free of cracks
Observations
Refined decorative object, typical of Italian production intended for both the prestigious domestic market and export. The presence of the complete hallmark increases collectible interest.
