Description from the seller
Provenance / Exhibitions
Work exhibited on the occasion of PARATISSIMA KOSMOS – Unpredictable-Untitled, 21st edition of Paratissima 2025, at the Real Collegio Carlo Alberto in Moncalieri. The exhibition coordinated by Roberta Bani.
Fratture in rete is an original sculptural work by Angelo Scardino, made in PLA and resin, with assembly, 3D printing and manual finishing.
The piece presents itself as a contemporary wall sculpture, composed of white figurative fragments recalling classical and Baroque tradition: bodies, faces, drapery and anatomical details emerge as archaeological remains, broken and reassembled into a new visual structure.
A black reticulated grid, tactile and irregular, takes root on these fragments, traversing the entire composition like an urban network, a cage, a scaffolding or a weave of connection. The contrast between the glossy white of the fragments and the black of the structure creates a strong visual tension between memory and contemporaneity, fragility and construction, ruin and recomposition.
The title Fratture in rete highlights this dialogue between fragmentation and connection: fracture as fall, loss and broken memory; the network as constraint, structure and attempt at reconstruction. The work reflects on the survivability of the classical image in the present, transforming the fragment into a contemporary, urban and layered language.
A work of strong scenographic impact, ideal for collectors of contemporary art, minimalist environments, professional studios or exhibition spaces.
Unique work, created and signed by the artist.
insured and trackable shipment, with professional packaging and an authenticity certificate signed by the artist.
