Description from the seller

Splendid and enigmatic still life, titled on the back by the author himself “Natura silente” (Silent Nature), created by Master Antonio Sciacca. The work fits perfectly within the artist's cultivated and refined output, famous for his ability to fuse elements of classicism and realism with atmospheres strongly symbolic and metaphysical.
The composition features a sea turtle as the protagonist laid atop a box or circular container of a lively orange color, the central element around which other objects laden with tactile charm orbit: an elegant cobalt blue ceramic chalice or candlestick finely shaded, a golden and reflective sphere positioned in the foreground (which catches the light, creating complex plays of reflections and spatial references), and two antique leather-bound books positioned on the right. The neutral background and the masterful handling of light confer a solemn monumentality to the objects, suspended in time, typical of the great Italian still-life painting tradition reinterpreted in a contemporary key.

Artist: Antonio Sciacca
Title of the work: "Natura silente"
Technique: Oil on canvas
Dimensions: 60 x 80 cm
Era: Contemporary
Support: Canvas stretched on a wooden frame
Signature
The work is signed in full in the original by the artist on the front, bottom right, with a clear red handwriting: ("Antonio Sciacca").
Counter-signature and authentication
On the back of the canvas the work presents an important and complete autograph handwritten by the artist in green varnish:
"Opera da me eseguita / Antonio Sciacca / "Natura silente"".
Accompanying the painting, on the back of the frame, is the original photograph of the work depicting the Master Antonio Sciacca holding the canvas (with the corresponding autograph in pen on the back of the photo itself: "Opera da me eseguita / Antonio Sciacca"). This triple element of authenticity (signature on the front, autograph inscription on the back of the canvas, and photo with the signed artist) guarantees the absolute originality and direct provenance of the work.

The work is in excellent general conservation condition. The colors are vivid, bright and well preserved. The canvas is well stretched on its original wooden frame, which shows no structural defects.

Antonio Sciacca is an artist of international standing, known for his cultivated pictorial references and for having exhibited in important exhibitions (including the Venice Biennale) and historically for the esteem and regard he has received from great critics such as Alberto Burri and respected by important art historians. The richness of the details, combined with an impeccable authentication and photographic apparatus, makes his works among the most sought-after on the market and by collectors of contemporary art.
