Rare Tarot of Art POP ART Alitalia Jeu (1973) - Gianni Novak - VIP Limited Edition
Description :
For sale, a magnificent and very rare complete collectible tarot deck, published in 1973 exclusively for the airline Alitalia. An absolute masterpiece of modernist design and the Italian Pop Art period.
This deck was not intended for sale, but offered as a prestige gift to VIPs and company partners by the general management.
Features and contents of the lot :
Art style: Aesthetic typical of the Pop Art period and the seventies, characterized by bold blocks of vivid and contrasting colors (orange, electric blue, violet) and very bold geometric shapes revisiting the traditional tarot figures.
Artist: Entirely illustrated by the Italian painter Gianni Novak. Each card of the deck is signed and dated “Novak 1973” in the body.
Limited edition: Copy certified No. 4149 out of only 5500 printed in Arabic numerals.
Printer & Publisher: Printed by the famous master cardmaker Dal Negro and published by Biancoenero (Rome).
Luxe case: Delivered in its original textured box, stamped in gold lettering by the prestigious Italian luxury leather goods house Nazareno Gabrielli (Made in Italy).
