Original oil painting on Masonite panel, 70 x 50 cm, hand-signed, an Impressionist portrait titled “The Blue Hour Within” from the Netherlands, 2026, a unique edition, sold directly by the artist.
Description from the seller
oil paint on Masonite panel 0.6 cm
I enjoy painting portraits of young men and teenagers because in that stage of life something special is visible: a vulnerability that the world has not yet hardened. Their faces and bodies carry an indefinable quality – they are not fully formed, yet full of promise and possibilities. For me it is precisely that in-between moment: no longer a child, not yet a man. In that transition lies a beauty I want to capture, the openness of what can still become and the fragile awareness that this stage lasts only a short time.
All series—from self-portraits and aging bodies to young male boxers, women at sunset, and intimate scenes with cats—can be found on my website, where you can also read more about my background and motivations:

I work exclusively with high-quality materials: professionally prepared linen or smooth panels, and top-quality oil paint, rich in pigment. Each work is created with care and dedication – intended to last, not only in terms of materials but also in meaning.
