Inspired by the freedom of birds gliding above the sea, this handcrafted hanging glass seagull captures the effortless beauty and dynamic movement of flight. Created by Maciej Habrat, a Polish glass artist with over 20 years of experience, each seagull is individually handcrafted using the glass fusing technique. Layers of opal and transparent glass are kiln-fused to create organic textures and luminous shades of blue, making every piece a unique work of art.
Perfect for coastal, Scandinavian, minimalist, and modern interiors, the hanging seagull complements spacious homes, seaside residences, as well as smaller, cozy living spaces. Maciej Habrat Atelier was founded in 1997 in Krosno, Poland. All glass works are designed and hand-made in a fusing technique by him. Maciej graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Poland-the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass. His style is easily recognized in many galleries around the world and some glass objects were exhibited in the Corning Museum of Glass, USA.
TV ARTE has released a documentarty about the family company and every year during the Ambiente Fair in Frankfurt Maciej's masterpieces allure with colors and forms.
