Gitanilla, oil on canvas by Francisco Benítez Perea (Morón, Seville, Spain. 1940-2008). Painter descendant and prominent member of the Sevillian School in the second half of the 20th century alongside Monedero, Ressendi, Manuel Flores, A. Rodrigues Almanza... and founder of the Morón de la Frontera School of Painting. Seville.
Was a prominent painter with works from various periods and styles: magical realism, realist genre scenes, social critique.... Painter representative of the golden age of Flamenco in Morón 1960-1970 through his Andalusian avant-garde, the main precursor of Antonio Adelardo García's style. He has numerous national and international awards and exhibitions. This work belongs to the traditional realistic series, a style he practiced upon returning from Catalonia to his hometown for the national decoration market during the late 1970s.
