Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date, 41 mm stainless steel case with a green ceramic unidirectional bezel, emerald green dial, automatic Calibro MB 24.17 movement, water resistant to 300 metres, in very good condition with minimal hairline marks.
Description from the seller
In this section we present a piece of great prestige and charm: a Montblanc 1858 Iced Sea Automatic Date in the highly sought emerald green color. A timepiece that combines high sporty horology with a hypnotic naturalistic design.
This watch is Montblanc's first professional diver certified (ISO 6425), but it is famous above all for its revolutionary dial. The manufacture has managed to recreate the three-dimensional texture, the veining and the depth of glacial ice (inspired by the Mer de Glace of Mont Blanc) through a complex and ancient artisanal technique called gratté-boisé. The deep emerald green color captures the light, evoking the reflections of alpine lakes surrounded by glaciers.
The technical setup is impeccable. The 41 mm stainless steel case is topped by a green two-tone unidirectional ceramic bezel, glossy and scratch-resistant. The watch is water resistant up to 30 ATM (300 meters) and the solid case back boasts a magnificent 3D laser-engraved engraving depicting a diver and an iceberg. Indices and hands are generously filled with Super-LumiNova for perfect legibility in the dark, as documented in the photographs. The heart is the automatic movement Caliber MB 24.17.
The condition is to be considered in excellent overall condition. The watch has been preserved with extreme care. The sapphire crystal and the ceramic bezel insert are pristine, free of any marks. The steel case is radiant and robust. On the bracelet and, in particular, on the deployant clasp, there are only extremely rare, negligible and almost imperceptible micro-scratches (hairlines) superficial due to normal and meticulous handling of the item, which do not affect its beauty. The engraved case back is also perfectly legible.
