Marianne Duvivier: After studies at Saint-Luc in Brussels, under the direction of Claude Renard and François Schuiten, Marianne Duvivier takes drawing courses at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels. She begins in comics in 1983 with the publication of short stories in Circus. From 1984 to 1987, she creates with Jan Bucquoy three albums for the series "Stone" (Éditions Glénat). Then, in 1990 Lagune, L'abbaye des dunes appears from a script by Jacques de Pierpont at Delcourt Editions. In September 1993, Casterman publishes "Mauvaise graine", a world apart where children struggle to survive. Two more albums follow in the series in 1997 and 2001. In 2004, the first volume of L'Écharde appears, from a script by Frank Giroud in the collection "Empreinte(s)" at Dupuis.
