Essay for a Farewell, it is a suspended scene in that very moment just before, when the emotion has yet to be named. The open, quiet piano suggests a music that is no longer there or is about to disappear. Upon it, a single flower rests, tilted, as if yielding to the weight of what is unsaid.
The window opens onto an impossible and serene landscape: mountains, water, a sun paused on the horizon. Outside, everything remains in balance. Inside, something becomes misaligned.
The composition builds a dialogue between the intimate and the distant, between what remains and what inevitably departs. There is no dramatic gesture, only a soft, sustained tension.
This work does not represent a farewell. It contains it.
