Description from the seller
BOSQUE INGRÁVIDO 114 is part of a series inspired by Magritte and contemporary surrealism.
This work is part of a series that sublimates the natural and the impossible in a single vision. In “Ingravid Forest,” trunks float without roots, stripped of the gravity that binds them to the ground. The landscape becomes the stage for the improbable: a forest that is not held by the laws of physics, but by the rules of imagination.
The reference to Magritte is not incidental: like him, the artist invites us to contemplate a world where the mundane becomes strange, and the impossible, evident. The trees suspended in the air compel us to rethink the concept of what is organic and stable, while the chromatic play —with electric blues, incandescent reds, and deep shadows— intensifies the dreamlike atmosphere.
This series raises essential questions: What happens when we take the weight off nature? Can weightlessness reveal another dimension of the landscape, one more emotional than physical? “Ingravid Forest” is as much a metaphor as a provocation, a visual liberation that defies logic to reveal a new poetic space.
“Ingravid Forest” by itself evokes a powerful image: floating trees that challenge not only physics, but also our perception of what a forest should be.
