Oil on panel measuring 27 x 35 cm, signed bottom right by B Retaux and bearing on the back the workshop stamp as well as an inventory number. It depicts, as is often the case with the Orientalist painter, a view of Morocco. The artist, a noted friend of André Hambourg and Maurice Boitel, two laureates of the Abd el-Tif Prize for Orientalist painting in Algiers. Sold in a modern frame.
