Description from the seller

WONDERFUL BIG PHOTOBOOK by genious Hungarian photographer André Kertész (1894-1985).

A sampling of Kertesz's photographs of city scenes, still lifes, landscapes, and other subjects is accompanied by an analysis of the development of his seventy-year photographic career.

The work by André Kertész had a pronounced influence on artistic photography in the mid-twentieth century and on artists such as Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, and Brassaï. The complete set of the Kertész's prints hadn't been seen for 40 years (showing for the first time in 1932, published in book form for the first time in 1976).
