Some stories never disappear.
Sometimes all it takes is lifting a corner of the rug to understand that a secret has been hiding there for a long time. In Under the Rug, only a pair of scarlet high-heeled shoes and elegant legs appear, seemingly swallowed by an imposing Persian rug. The rest belongs to the viewer's imagination.
Between dark humor, elegance, and mystery, this composition plays with the famous double meaning of the English expression "Under the Rug": what we prefer to hide rather than face. A work that intrigues as much as it amuses.

I like images that tell a story without ever revealing it completely.
This scene is a metaphor. We all have memories, truths, or emotions that we prefer to leave "under the rug." Here, the red draws the eye while the absence of the character nourishes all possible interpretations.
The spectator becomes the storyteller themselves.
