Description from the seller
Claudio Rolfi, born in Genoa in 1960. From his early works one notes the great fascination that Italian art of the 20th century was able to exert on him, with masters such as Casorati, Morandi, Carrà, and de Chirico. In his forty-year career he has held more than seventy solo exhibitions and countless artistic events, including TV programs dedicated entirely to him. The artistic work of Maestro Rolfi has been discussed by the most important journalistic outlets and by television and radio networks. Among the most notable events are the grand exhibition Centoeventigiorni held in Santa Maria degli Angeli, Rome, in 2002, inaugurated in the presence of Mrs. Franca Ciampi and Walter Veltroni; the exhibition at the Dopmiziano Museum in Rome; the solo show at Mondadori in Milan; the exhibition at the Palazzo della Cultura in Reggio Calabria; and BAM Baveno Arte Maggiore presented by Vittorio Sgarbi.
The Maestro’s paintings have been used for about six years as scenery for the GEO program on Rai 3.
His works are present in many Italian collections, in the United States, Japan, Canada, and throughout the rest of Europe.
Oil painting and mixed media on a canvased panel.
The work is a seascape—one of the Landscapes of Memory. The work is supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity signed and stamped and shipped with a FedEx courier.
