About Albert Weinberg
Albert Weinberg (1922–2011) was a Belgian comic artist and illustrator who gained international fame as the creator of Dan Cooper. The series appeared from 1954 in the magazine Kuifje and grew into a classic within aviation comics.
Weinberg was known for his exceptionally precise drawing style and his technically perfect rendering of airplanes. His work combines realism, adventure and a great love of aviation, making original illustrations by his hand particularly sought after by collectors of classic comic art.
