Stan Hensen (1923-2010) is a Belgian sculptor and painter. He is a pioneer of abstract sculpture and later—as in this work—of optical art in Belgium.

He also played an important role in the Brussels art scene as an enthusiastic teacher. One of his best-known students is Dominique Stroobant.

Stan Hensen (1923-2010) is een Belgisch beeldhouwer en schilder. Hij is een verkenner van de abstracte beeldhouwkunst en later - zoals in dit werk - van de optische kunst in Belgie.

Hij speelde in de Brusselse kunstscene ook een belangrijke rol als bevlogen docent. Een van zijn bekendste leerlingen is Dominique Stroobant.
