Description from the seller

CASA DE CAMPO

95 x 70 cm
Acrylic on canvas · 2026

Casa de Campo presents an idealized vision of the Mediterranean rural landscape, where architecture and nature coexist in a harmonious balance. At the center of the composition appears a house surrounded by cypress trees, cultivated fields and gentle hills that unfold to the horizon, building a scene of serenity and abundance.

The work is structured around a winding path that guides the gaze toward the dwelling and visually organizes the entire landscape. This journey creates a sense of depth and movement, inviting the viewer to enter the scene and discover the different planes that compose it. The fields follow one another as large color surfaces, where yellows, greens, oranges and blues dialogue with each other to generate a luminous and vibrant atmosphere.

Beyond its descriptive character, the painting offers an emotional interpretation of the landscape. The chromatic contrasts intensify the warmth, while the repetition of undulating shapes and cypresses provides rhythm and visual continuity. The house, located in the heart of the composition, functions as a symbol of shelter, belonging and connection with the natural surroundings.

The scene evokes the beauty of traditional agricultural landscapes, reinterpreted through a contemporary gaze where color takes on a leading role. The result is an image that conveys calm, optimism and a deep sense of rootedness to the land.
