Selling the complete work Quatrevingt-treize, the last great historical novel by Victor Hugo, set in 1793 during the Terror.
The set is complete and includes Volumes 1, 2 and 3.
Publisher / Year: [Michel Lévy Frères, 1874 –
Binding: Beautiful period half-binding in brown morocco. Spine with raised bands ornamented with small lozenges and gilded fleurons, titles and volumes stamped in fine gold.
External condition: Uniform and solid binding. Good overall appearance with normal signs of wear (slight rubbing to the headcaps, joints and corners).
Interior condition: Period paper well bound, with scattered foxing not affecting readability.
A fine collectible copy, ideal for a 19th-century literature enthusiast or antique bindings
