Denis Mihai, The way back home, an original acrylic painting (50 cm high by 70 cm wide, 2 kg) from 2026, hand signed, in excellent condition, depicting animals, made in Romania.
Description from the seller
The Way Back Home is a poetic journey through memory, belonging, and the quiet comfort of familiar places. Blending surreal symbolism with a dreamlike landscape, the painting invites the viewer into a world where reality and emotion exist in perfect harmony.
At the heart of the composition stands a warm golden house, resting peacefully atop rolling hills and connected to the viewer by a winding path—a timeless symbol of hope, return, and the enduring pull of home. A loyal white dog and a silent black cat share the foreground, representing devotion and independence, two different spirits united by the same destination.
Glowing spheres scattered throughout the landscape evoke memories, guiding lights, or moments suspended in time, while the contrasting trees speak of the changing seasons of life—growth, loss, and renewal. The vibrant colors and geometric forms create a unique visual rhythm, transforming an ordinary countryside into an inner landscape shaped by nostalgia and imagination.
Rather than depicting a physical place, The Way Back Home explores the universal longing to return—not only to a house, but to a state of peace, innocence, and emotional belonging. It is an invitation to reflect on the places, people, and memories that continue to illuminate our path, no matter how far we have traveled.
