Description from the seller
Nice German 4/4 violin by Franz HELL from Elmshorn. The violin dates from the 1930s, so almost 100 years old. The violin is beautifully made, has a wonderful figured back, and the original varnish is still in prime condition. The violin has a beautiful warm sound. Notably, the beautifully carved bridge by Michael Fabis from Augsburg is also impressive.
The measurements are:
Total length: 59.5 cm
Mensur (scale length): 33.0 cm
Body: 35.9 cm
Waist: 11.2 cm
Upper bout width: 16.6 cm
Lower bout width: 20.6 cm
Violin and bows described as 'certified' or 'credited' include images of their certificates and therefore have a higher level of documented certainty concerning maker, provenance and age than instruments described only as 'labeled' (violins) or 'stamped' (bows), for which we make no warranty.
