BIOGRAPHY OF THE ARTIST:
Rafael Aracil Ruescas (Alcoi, 1930-2022). He is a painter who defines himself as esoteric within what we understand as Art and Science, with his universal chord. His notes are sound and color, creating the channels for both notes to manifest through him. He was awarded scholarships by the School of Fine Arts of San Carlos in Valencia and by the School of Fine Arts in Paris. He was also a recipient of the French State pension and a landscape scholarship in Granada. He was founder and director of the Schools of Fine Arts and Arts and Crafts of Alcoy, where he worked as a teacher.
MOST SIGNIFICANT EXHIBITIONS:
He has exhibited his work on numerous occasions both solo and collectively, at the City Hall of Alcoy, at Plaza Mayor, at the House of Culture and Llorens Bookstore; in various group shows in Spanish and European cities such as Valencia, Barcelona, Alicante and Paris, in various modalities, the National Painting Prize of Alicante and the Roig Prize for sculpture.
OWNERSHIP ENTITIES OF THE WORK:
His work is on display in several churches in Alcoy, in several town halls in the province of Valencia and above all in private collections around the world.
