Description from the seller
The pictorial act as a form of meditation offers a contemplative method to explore the complexity of reality. Through artistic creation, one can undertake an inner journey that encourages reflection on reality and what determines it. Beyond the study of form, one can observe chance, spontaneity, and the intrinsic capacity of matter to shape itself: a kind of will to expand and self-organization.
My painting turns a respectful gaze toward the great masters of the past, seeking to fuse their example with contemporaneity.
During the years from '97 to today, the works have been exhibited in various group and solo shows, such as "Pearls of the Mediterranean - an art encounter with contemporary masters" at the Cultural and Scientific Center of the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Rome in 2014, the group exhibition "Journey in the Aegean" at Palazzo Ferrajoli in Rome, in November 2016, and the collective "Festina Lente" - Parkinson's National Day at the MAXXI Art Museum in Rome. Moreover, the works have been awarded and selected for several prestigious competitions such as the COMBAT PRIZE 2012 among the finalists, the 6th Edition "Città Amica" Biennale Metropolis of Torino in 2016, or the 9th and 13th editions of the international painting and sculpture competition FIGURATIVAS 2017 with the works "INSIDE" and "Awakening". In 2019, the artist's own work "The lesson" was selected for the 13th edition of the ARC Salon competition.
