A simple, recognizable figure is transformed into something different. The teddy bear, a symbol of affection and protection, retains its shape but loses its function: it is no longer something to touch or to live with lightly.

The surface wholly changes the perception of the work. What appears familiar from a distance becomes distant, almost unattainable up close. This creates a direct contrast between what we know and what we see.

The work plays precisely on this tension: on one side it attracts, on the other it keeps at a distance. In this way, an image tied to childhood is reinterpreted in a contemporary key, becoming something more complex and less reassuring.

Born in 1992 in Macerata, Marche, the Italian artist pursued a path that, between studies in surveying and architecture, led him to collaborate with a resin sculpture artisan. There was born the increasingly strong need to find himself and unleash his creativity.
