Ruiz - Dictor - Grandiosa Corrida - 1970s

Magnificent original Spanish bullfighting poster, printed on paper, from the Palma de Mallorca Bullring.

Large-format piece (88 × 55 cm), illustrated with an expressive bullfighting scene signed in the composition. It announces a grand corrida with six brave bulls from the prestigious cattle ranch of D. Fermín Bohórquez, featuring three figures of bullfighting: Manuel Benítez "El Cordobés", François Canonge and Palomo Linares.

The poster bears Legal Deposit B. 1.862 – 1974 and was printed by Dictor – Lloret de Mar (Girona), confirming that it is an antique print and not a modern reproduction.

This exemplar very well represents the aesthetics of the great Spanish bullfighting posters of the 1970s, being particularly attractive for the artistic quality of the illustration, for the excellent visual impact and for the presence of one of the most famous matadors of the 20th century, El Cordobés.

Condition of conservation compatible with its age: shows storage creases, slight edge wear and small defects in the corners, as visible in the photographs. The colors remain vivid and the overall presentation retains excellent presence for display.

A very interesting piece for collectors of bullfighting posters, the history of bullfighting, Spanish graphic art and Iberian memorabilia.
