Three-piece Jasperware garniture set in matte light blue porcelain with Rococo relief motifs, consisting of a central jardinière (20 cm × 10 cm × 7 cm) and two matching trumpet vases (16 cm × 5 cm) from the United Kingdom, dating to circa 1850–1900 and in good antique condition with minor signs of wear.
Description from the seller
Antique 3-piece Jasperware Garniture Set / Fireplace Mantel Set – Rococo style with landscape relief – Approx. 1900
Magnificent and highly decorative three-piece garniture set (chimney-set) made of matte light-blue Jasperware earthenware with refined white relief decorations. This unique set is rendered in the lush Rococo style, recognizable by the swooping C-scrolls, pierced handles and elegant shell motifs at the base.
Unlike classical neoclassical Jasperware, these vases showcase a romantic, pastoral landscape. The detailed relief (sprigging) depicts an idyllic scene with a castle, a stone arched bridge over a flowing river, trees and a striking tower.
The set consists of:
* 1 Central flower vase / jardinière (with a wavy edge and pierced handles)
* 2 Matching side vases / tulip-shaped vases
Style: In the style of Wedgwood (possibly an early English contemporary such as Adams, Dudson or Turner).
Features: Unmarked / no factory stamps on the underside (typical for certain 19th-century and early 20th-century productions).
Period: Circa 1880 - 1920.
Origin: United Kingdom / Europe.
vases: 16 cm by 5 cm
central vase: 20 cm / 10 cm / 7 cm
In good, antique condition with minimal signs of aging. No large cracks or rough restorations visible. The white relief is very well preserved. (Note: view the photos carefully for an accurate impression of the details and the condition).
