Description from the seller
PRIVATE ROOM is a series that explores the intimate dimension of the home and the artist's studio as territories where everyday reality is transformed into a space for revelation. In these works, the domestic interior stops being just a functional setting to become a symbolic refuge: a place where the artist withdraws, disappears, and allows themselves to build worlds that do not yet exist, but insist on being imagined.
The series starts from a central idea: privacy is not isolation, but a laboratory of vision. In the solitude of the studio, the artist moves among objects, lights, and silences that act as detonators of an almost ritual experience. There, in that protected space, possible futures are rehearsed, a dream is prophesied, a hope is formulated. Each painting functions as a window into that process: vibrant interiors, full of color and energy, revealing the emotional and mental intensity of the creative act.
The depicted rooms do not seek to faithfully reproduce a physical place, but to capture the psychological climate of that voluntary retreat. They are settings where architecture becomes narrative, where colors speak of internal states, and where the composition suggests that something is about to happen.
In PRIVATE ROOM, home and studio become metaphors for a mental space: a territory where imagination expands without witnesses, where painting becomes an act of assertion, and where hope — that luminous form of resistance — finds its place to grow.
