Usain St. Leo Bolt (Sherwood Content, Trelawny, 21 August 1986) is a former sprinter from Jamaica. He is the current world record holder and Olympic champion in the 100 m, 200 m, and the 4 x 100 meter relay. Moreover, Bolt, nicknamed The Lightning Bolt and Thunderbolt, holds the world junior record of 19.93 seconds in the 200 m and, as a junior (under 20), was the only one to run the distance under 20 seconds. Bolt competed four times at the Olympic Games. He is also the first athlete to win both the 100 m and the 200 m at three consecutive Games (2008-2016). He also won the 4 x 100 m relay twice. On the list of the most successful Olympic Summer medalists, he, after the 2016 edition, holds a jointly tenth place. On 12 August 2017 he took part in his last race in the 4 x 100 m relay at the World Championships in London, where he dropped out as the final runner with a hamstring injury to his left leg just as he was about to accelerate from third position.
