Description from the seller
The bullfighting hobby always looks forward to this moment, when the bullfighter carries out the performance with the cape and the arena falls silent. Many artists have been inspired by this tradition, because the closeness between the bull and the bullfighter sends shivers down the spine. so much color, so much to appreciate in a moment that can be attempted again and again in works of art of all kinds. This painting is executed with loose brushstrokes and with others more precise, with speed and with slowness, almost like a salon bullfight, full of nuances, of details and harmony at the same time. This work is done on board, so it is sent in a cardboard box. We do not ship between July 12 and 18 nor from August 5 to 28.
María Burgaz (1970) knew from a very young age that her path was art. She began her training at the School of Decorative Arts in Madrid, and earned a Fine Arts degree at the Complutense University of Madrid, specializing in Painting in 1993. Later she completed her studies at FIT in New York.
Winner of competitions such as the Wellington Foundation, Professional Football Foundation, Women and Society, Iberdrola-UEX, UNED, Eugenio Hermoso, Gran Casino de Torrelodones… her work, in addition to being part of the collections of these institutions, also appears in the collections of town halls such as Gibraleón, Valdemoro, Martos, Horche, Alicante Province Diputación…
She has held dozens of solo and group exhibitions both in Spain and abroad, and her work is also in numerous private collections worldwide.
Her industrious and enthusiastic spirit has led her to participate in all kinds of projects and to collaborate with designers, writers and anything that allows her to express everything she carries inside. Her work always reveals the stage she is living, her vitality and her particular sense of humor and way of understanding life, always with mastery of techniques that she combines and juxtaposes to create unique paintings of great richness both narratively and technically.
Her works always include a certificate of authenticity and when they are on canvas they are shipped rolled in a rigid tube for greater security.
