Description from the seller

A fighting bull is a fierce, noble animal. It is very different to observe it when out in the fields, free and growing, than its thrust and bravura in the arena. Half a ton of bravado and charge. Something that many artists want to capture and bring to a plastic plane where, among other things, the smell will always be missing, as the bullfighter Fran Curo Romero said. This bull is treated with transparencies, glazes, which contrast with the volume and forcefulness of the animal. This work is on board, hence it ships in a cardboard box. No shipments between June 12-18 or August 4-28.

María Burgaz (1970) knew from a very young age that her vocation was art. She began her training at the Escuela de Artes Decorativas in Madrid, and earned a Fine Arts degree at the Complutense University of Madrid in the Painting specialization in 1993. Later she completed her studies at FIT in New York.
Winner of competitions such as the Wellington Foundation, the Professional Football Foundation, Mujer y Sociedad, Iberdrola-UEX, UNED, Eugenio Hermoso, Gran Casino de Torrelodones… her work, in addition to being part of the collections of these institutions, also appears in the collections of town halls such as Gibraleón, Valdemoro, Martos, Horche, and the Diputación de Alicante…
She has held dozens of solo and group exhibitions both in Spain and abroad, and her work is also in numerous private collections worldwide. Her energetic and enthusiastic approach has led her to participate in all kinds of projects and to collaborate with designers, writers, and everything that allows her to express all that she carries inside. Her work always reveals the stage she is living through, her vitality and her particular sense of humor and way of understanding life, always with a command of techniques that she combines and juxtaposes to create unique paintings with great narrative and technical richness. Her works always include an authenticity certificate and when they are on canvas they are shipped rolled in a rigid tube for added security.
