With this square-format artwork, Medsan playfully distorts Michel-Ange’s most famous masterpiece—the Creation of Adam in the Sistine Chapel—by substituting Pikachu. Where the fingers of God and Adam were about to touch, an electric spark now leaps between the divine hand and the radiant Pokémon, tenderly resting in an offered palm. Cherubs and clouds complete the fresco, bearing the signature « メドサン » (Medsan). This unique print gives birth to pop iconography under the gaze of the sacred.

The visual strength of the composition lies in its imitation of the Renaissance fresco: powdered pastel tones, sculptural modeling of the arms, plaster cracks and golden light, executed in Michelangelo’s grandiose manner.
