Description from the seller
Description
Pair of pentagonal glazed ceramic oil bottles decorated with hand-painted floral motifs in blue, green, yellow and pink on a cream-coloured background.
Produced in Turkey and dating to the early 20th century (estimated 1920–1930), these bottles are characteristic decorative and functional household ceramics. The pentagonal form, floral decoration and sand-toned glaze give the pair a distinctive appearance.
Both bottles retain an attractive aged patina with visible signs of authentic use. Minor glaze wear is present on some edges together with age-related crazing and wear to the bases, consistent with age and use.
