Original acrylic painting by Maurizio Valch (2026), titled XXL — Red Stratification, measuring 107 cm by 70 cm, a red abstract work with white incised lines, hand signed, from Spain, edition Original, in excellent condition, sold direct from the artist.
Description from the seller
Red Stratification is an original abstract painting by Maurizio Valch, built around a deep red pictorial field crossed by fine white incised lines. The composition suggests geological layers, suspended paths or silent territories in transformation.
The work belongs to the artist’s recent research around strata, horizons and internal landscapes. Its surface combines chromatic intensity with subtle material traces, creating depth through layers, texture and sharp linear interventions. The white lines are not decorative: they are incisions that cut through the red field, opening a sense of movement, tension and memory.
The painting can be read as a minimal landscape, a symbolic territory or an inner map. Its strong red presence gives the work a powerful visual impact, while the delicate incised marks introduce silence, fragility and structure.
About the artist
Maurizio Valch is a visual artist, writer and graphic designer. His work explores metaphysical territories, symbolic landscapes and the relationship between geological space and human consciousness.
Through dark fields, incised surfaces, monolithic forms and structural divisions, Valch creates paintings that suggest the emergence of perception within the territory itself.
