“ARCHEMISIO” is a contemporary painter renowned for his hyperrealist oil-on-canvas works, where photographic precision blends with the dramatic lighting typical of Caravaggio. Raised on the streets of Rome, from a young age he was fascinated by the Baroque masterpieces displayed in the city’s churches and museums, developing a passion for the contrast between light and shadow and the emotional intensity of the figures.
After studying at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, Archemisio traveled across Europe and the United States, perfecting the hyperrealist technique through the study of modern artists. However, his style is distinguished by a Caravaggesque heritage: his works capture meticulous details (from wrinkles in the skin to reflections on an object) yet are bathed in a theatrical and directional light, which sculpts the volumes and creates an atmosphere rich in symbolism.
