This painting offers a summery, minimalist and graphic scene, featuring four women relaxing at the edge of a pool.

The characters: aligned on a white terrace, four women are seated on sun loungers. They wear swimsuits of different colors—bright red, white, yellow—and some wear hats or sunglasses. Their silhouettes are stylized, outlined in black, and their shadows project distinctly on the ground.
An immense pale pink wall, textured with light effects or plaster, and topped with what appears to be openings or stylized spotlights, diagonally bars the composition. It isolates the pool space from the rest of the landscape.
To the right, the wall stops to reveal a thin band of blue sea on the horizon, with two white silhouettes evoking sailboats. The sky occupies the upper right portion in a solid pale blue tone.
The overall mood is one of lounging, vacations, and luxurious tranquility. The choice of subjects, the pool, the imposing wall, and the minimalist aesthetics strongly recall the Pop Art movement and the iconic work of David Hockney, notably his famous California pool paintings.
